Samsung Galaxy Note 9 tipped to hit the shelves as early as July or August

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may be released as early as July or August.
  • Reports suggest it might be due to Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ poor sales in the market.
  • Production of the Note 9’s OLED panels will be starting in April.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 might actually be launching earlier than expected. According to the Korean publication, The Investor, the launch of the second 2018 flagship may come as early as July or August, based on info that Samsung is already working on the firmware for the Galaxy Note 9 earlier than what is on the headlines.

This might actually be due to Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ not selling as well as the company expected. An early release of the second flagship could shortfall missed financial targets, suggested the report.

There will be a slight increase of 0.06-inch from the previous model which had 6.32-inch display to 6.38-inch display, making Galaxy Note 9 the Samsung’s smartphone with the largest display. However, the Galaxy Note 9 is unlikely to include an in-screen fingerprint scanner as Huawei and Goodix who recently announced a phone with an under display fingerprint reader but that cost quite a fortune.Samsung Galaxy Note 9 tipped to hit the shelves as early as July or August 2

Another reason why Samsung might plan to release the Galaxy Note 9 earlier than announced is competition with Apple’s new iPhones, seeing as how Apple intends roll out three new “all-screen” iPhones with Face ID technology later this year. With the release of the Leica triple camera Huawei P20 Pro, Galaxy S9 and S9+ face even a powerful competition in the android market.

With reports that Samsung Display will start the production of the Note 9’s OLED panels by April, two months earlier than the company’s usual timeline, then we can expect the Galaxy Note 9 to be launched on the market as early as July or August.

Let’s see how this prediction will turn out.
