Gionnee is famous for producing devices with monstrous batteries. The company’s M series is a standard bearer when it comes to devices with impressive battery life and the company is set to continue tradition in 2017 as they have touted their upcoming Gionee M2017. The device has just passed Tenna’s certification test. This means it is set to be unveiled anytime next year. However, we expect the device to be released during the Mobile World Congress in February.

That said let us take at the specs of the Gionee M2017 and see if the battery tradition was carried on, shall we?
The M2017 comes with a Quad HD screen sized at 5.7-icnhes. The device houses 6GB RAM and a 128GB internal memory matched with an Octa-core processor with a max speed of 1.9Ghz. In terms of camera, Gionee M2017 sports a dual camera setup that consists of 12MP and 13MP rear shooters. On the front, an 8MP camera sits atop the devices screen.

The most impressive feature of the M series is their battery size and the M2017 doesn’t fail in this area. The device packs an insanely large battery, sized at 7,000mAh battery. The device is said to run Android Marshmallow out of the box. We are sure this will not be the case because it will not be good choice for 2017 flagship when there’s an improved Android 7.0.

Other important features for the Gionee M2017 include its finger print scanner, dual SIM set up. The device measures 155.2×77.6×10.65mm and weighs in at 230g.
