Google replaces Wallet with Android Pay

Google has announced Android Pay , a new payment system that will Succeed Google Wallet. Android Pay will lock horns with payment systems from Big Guns like Samsung (Samsung Pay) and Apple (Apple Pay) .
Android Pay will power in-app and tap-to-pay purchases on mobile devices. As for Google Wallet , it will not become completely obsolete , No. Instead , Google wallet will focus on accepting payments outside of mobile devices.
Payment via Android Pay will be facilitated via NFC feature on Android Smartphones. Google has announced a list of partners that will accept Android Pay. The list includes major merchant stores , Hotels and car services operating in the US.

Another interesting thing about Android Pay is that it will be available to Developers. Which means any developer can integrate Android Pay into his service and start accepting payments. Sadly , Android Pay will only work on Android 4.4Kitkat Smartphones and above. Which means Jellybean and Below Smartphones will not be able to use this payment service.
