Honor 10 launched in China with Kirin 970 and AI-powered dual-cameras

The Huawei sub-brand, Honor, has finally unveiled its latest flagship – Honor 10. The unveiling event held at an event in China and the phone will be available in the Chinese market as from April 27 with a huge retail price of ¥2,599 (N150,000). Although the global launch has not been announced yet, but will get a confirmation at an event in London, set for May 15.

The Honor 10 sports a 5.84-inch FullView LCD display with 1,080 x 2,280px resolution (432ppi pixel density) and 19:9 aspect ratio. The front panel also features a notch that houses a 24MP selfie camera and a fingerprint sensor below the screen.

The Honor 10 packs the same AI-chipset as Huawei P20 and P20 Pro – Kirin 970. The smartphone comes in two variants – a 6GB of RAM with an internal memory of 64GB which is expandable to 256GB variant and a 6GB RAM/128GB of memory priced at ¥2,999 (N173,000) in the Chinese market.Androidnigeria-03

A dual camera setup can be found at the rear side of the phone which features a 24MP (black and white sensor) and a 16MP (colour sensor). The cameras are capable of shooting bokeh effect images and comes with AI 2.0 technology for face detection and quality pictures.

Honor 10

The Honor 10 is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with fast charge capabilities. It features a 3.5mm headphones jack at the bottom right beside a USB Type-C port. The smartphone is expected to run on Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box with EMUI 8.1.

The Honor 10 also comes in Twilight, same as Huawei P20 with other conventional colour schemes like Black, Purple, Grey and Teal.
