HTC Desire T7, HTC’s maybe 6.9 inch Tablet.


Most news on HTC’s upcoming devices have featured as rumours, as the smartphone makers have not been so liberal with information. Perhaps, their new strategy for 2016 is to create suspense and probably increase consumer interest in its products, Whatever the plan is, we hope it goes well for the them and for us (our spec and price expectations). Although, rumour on HTC devices are not the only news being churned out from the rumour mill, Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and LG’s G5 are also devices whose rumours have been making the rounds lately.

Another rumour based on leaked benchmark details have been released on GFXBench. This new details suggest that HTC may be working on a new tablet which will be a product of its Desire line. This new tablet is said to be called HTC Desire T7 tablet, but currently labeled as the HTC IV5001-A. Based on the purported specification of the HTC Desire T7, it can be said that the device was designed for low-end device buyers, this means its price will be pocket friendly.

HTC Desire T7 would come with the following features;

  • A 6.9 inch display (approx. 7 inch)
  • A screen resolution of 1280 x 720 ppi
  • A a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, with an ARM Mali-400 MP2 dual-core GPU.
  • Android 5.0 lollipop
  • 1 GB of RAM, 13 GB storage, chances are that a 16GB of internal storage will be available in production ready model.
  • Primary and Secondary camera are 4.8MP respectively with full HD video recording capability.
  • Supports: Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi.

We can confidently say, that the above listed specs indicate a low-end tablet, therefore a low price. However, the same can not be said about the authenticity news as it is still unofficial (HTC has not released any official announcement on this device), hopefully in the coming month (February) or this month, we may hear from them.  Rest assured Android fans, we will be seeing a lot of device announcements in February, because of the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (MWC).
