Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite launched in India: A view on P20 Lite

In the past, Huawei was known to only launch mid-range phone under its sub-brand, Honor. But it decided to change this tradition with the release of the noble P20 series — Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite — in India.

After the release of P20 Pro last month in Paris, Huawei came under huge praise and accolades by both its customers and industry experts for the innovative AI-powered triple Leica camera (first of its kind). You can read about its features and specifications here.Huawei P20

The Huawei P20 Lite being the little brother of P20 Pro and the cheapest smartphone in the P20 line-up, it’s quite inferior to the P20 Pro, but it can hold its own against the likes of Lenovo’s Moto G6 series. It runs on a Snapdragon HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB microSD slot up to 256GB. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with 18W charger. We don’t know how many hours it can last for, but with that kind of charger, you can expect a quick charge in less than 2 hours. It also has an earphone jack, a notch and rear fingerprint sensor.

The Huawei P20 Lite sports a rear dual camera like most recently released phones. It features a 16MP + 2MP shooter, capable of 1080p video recording. It has a 16MP with f/2.0 aperture, also capable of 1080p video recording.Huawei P20

The phone features a 5.84-inch IPS screen with 2280×1080 resolution display, operating on Android 8.0 Oreo with the company’s EMUI 8.0.
With a look at the P20 Lite, there is a reason why the P20 Pro is the major flagship. The P20 Lite was designed to be pocket-friendly and for those with simple taste (not here in Nigeria).

Both phones will go on sale as from May 3, exclusive only on Amazon. The Huawei P20 Lite is priced at $301 (N108,360) and the triple Leica P20 Pro is priced at $978 (almost N360,000).
