Instagram direct adds link preview and free form photo sharing

Instagram is definitely on a row, adding new features almost on a monthly basis. Thankfully, these features are relevant and address some of the unspoken yearns of the IG users. This latest update is focused on Instagram Direct, that part of the service that allows you to communicate directly with your contacts.
If you were familiar with the feature, you would know that before now, you have to resize photos before sending them through the Instagram Direct feature. Now you can upload photos in whatever orientation it is in, be it landscape, portrait or panorama and image will appear in whatever aspect ratio it is in.
Meanwhile, Link previews are now possible through Instagram Direct. So if you share or receive a link through Instagram Direct you/the receiver can preview the content that the link leads to; without tapping on it. Numbers and addresses will also appear as links on the ID (Instagram Direct).
Both features have gone live on the iOS version of the app but Android users have to wait a while longer before they can get the landscape and portrait uploads and would have to have a 10.22 version of the app to use the link feature.
Lovely. I like the freedom there
