Itel launches three devices powered by Android Oreo (Go edition)

 


On Wednesday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, itel mobile held an event to launch their latest smartphone the itel P32 and announce two other budget devices, the itel A15 and A32[F]. AndroidNigeria was invited for press coverage and we have much to write about it. There was no dull moment during the event, as the energy was a fine blend of technology and entertainment. Ace comedian, Funny Bone was the Master of the Ceremony while the mobile announcements where made by itel’s head of operation in Nigeria and the Marketing Communications Manager.

Itel P32 (More than big battery)

The devices represent itel’s commitment to delivering affordable devices with more than competent hardware. Itel P32 is the more premium device of the three devices. Already crowned the best big battery smartphone by Android Authority, it can be said that the device is living up to its marketing slogan “More than big battery”. Itel P32 is equipped with a humongous 4,00mAh battery along with a slew of features to optimize battery life. The body of the device is cut from plastic, on the front side, there is a  5.5inch screen on a 5-inch frame. The P32 adopts the now popular 18:9 screen to body ratio and has Full HD resolution.

For pictures and video recording, the device comes with a dual rear camera a 5MP shooter and 03.MP lense for background camera. On the front, a 5MP camera shooter is paired with soft flash. The device is packed with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, powered by MT6580M Qual-core 1.3GHz processor.

We had the privilege of using the phone on-site and we were impressed by the not just the design of the device but its camera. From 2017 through to this year, itel mobile has been improving the camera technology attached to their devices.

itel A32F (Fingerprint for everyone)

Designed to offer users the extra security provided by Fingerprint feature, the itel A32F is a budget device for personalized security enthusiasts.

The device is a perfect combination of style and function. With a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back, our goal is to offer our users an optimized security feature and a new and smooth smartphone experience, with the Android Oreo (GO Edition) at an affordable price. In itel, we understand and listen to the demand of our customers, therefore, we are presenting a device that is modern, reliable and is the most accessible fingerprint smartphone.

The device works with Android 8.1 (GO edition) and is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor that has 1GB of RAM, internal storage of 8GB, expandable memory of up to 32GB. It also comes with 2MP + 5MP front and rear camera with a battery capacity of 2050mAH.

itel A15 (Android for everyone)

The itel A15 was designed as part of efforts to make Android-powered devices available to everyone on a budget. The device offers all the functionalities of a smartphone and even more.

itel A15 also comes with a 5.0-inch screen and a 5MP AF rear camera with a large 1.4μm pixel, and a 2MP selfie camera with a large 1.65μm pixel. It supports 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MT6580M, 1 GB of RAM + 8 GB of ROM (expandable to 32 GB of storage) and 2050 mAh of battery. The device will be available in three colors: midnight black, starry blue and rose gold.

Well, that is all there is to know about the mobile announcements. Another important information would be itel’s partnerships with Google and 9mobile to bring users better internet experience that will further improve the value the company delivers to its consumers.
