Earlier this month, Samsung dropped hints of an upcoming device that will provide “4x fun” without revealing specific details about the features of the device or its name. Well, we assumed that the South Korean company was referring to a 1 front lens and 3 rear lens camera setup. Either that or a case of two on the front and two cameras on the back. That was the assumption until a recent leak made by the guys at “All about Samsung”. They claim that the new device will be called Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro and will sport four rear cameras arranged vertically on the right side and a 24MP front snapper for selfie. The exclusively Samsung news website even released renders of the device, which we believe to be quite authentic, however; the images are not official so there may be slight differences when the final product is released.
Other specifications of the Galaxy A9 Star Pro
The device is expected to have an 8MP wide-angle angle camera with a 120-degree field of view, a 24MP main camera, 10MP telephoto lens, and another 5MP telephoto lens, while the selfie shooter will have a Sony imx576 sensor. The leak also reveals that the Galaxy A9 Star Pro will sport a 6.28” AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and run on SnapDragon 660 processor. While a 3,720mAh battery without fast charging capability will power the device. Well, this is the entire information the leak revealed. The Galaxy A9 Star Pro is expected to be launched on 11 October. We would have to wait for the launch to ascertain if the information shared is accurate. In the event that the device does debut with four rear cameras then the “4x fun” teaser could mean that the Galaxy A9 Star Pro will have 4x loseless zoom capability, which will place it a notch above the current mobile camera zoom champion, Huawei P20 Pro.
