Lenovo K5 Note and A5 announced alongside Lenovo Z5


Apart from the Lenovo Z5 which was the major announcement and big disappointment at the China Film Festival in Beijing. Lenovo also unveiled a re-branded Lenovo K5 Note and a budget Lenovo A5 for the Chinese market.Lenovo K5 Note and A5 Starting off with the re-branded Lenovo K5 Note. The phablet sports a tall 6-inch HD+ IPS display with 720x1440px resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset, 3GB or 4GB of RAM with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB.

There is a dual-camera of 16MP AI-sensor and 2MP fixed focus sensor with f/2.0 and f/2.4 aperture respectively at the back. The phone sports an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, which comes with beautification features. It is powered by a 3,760 mAh battery (bigger than the 3,300mAh in Z5) and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 4.0 skin.

The Lenovo K5 Note comes in Black, Gold, and Blue colour options and a retail price of 799 yuan (~N45,000) for the 3GB/32GB model.Lenovo K5 Note and A5 The Lenovo A5 comes with a MediaTek MT6739 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB. The display is similar to K5 Note’s HD+ 720x1440px resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio, except for the screen which is smaller 5.45-inches. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo and ZUI 3.9 skin with 4,000mAh battery.

The phone features a rear 13MP main sensor with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP selfie shooter sporting the same aperture and a rear fingerprint scanner.
The Lenovo A5 is available in Black, Gold, and Rose Gold (via Gadgets360), and at a price of 599 yuan (~N34,000).

Although there is nothing special about the ZUI 4.0, Lenovo did say this ZUI version will bring optimized full-screen gestures, better CPU and memory management.

The Lenovo K5 Note and A5 phones are not exactly going to turn heads, but they come at a reasonable price and some solid features and specs.
