Yesterday, the LG G6 was unveiled before a teeming number of Android and tech enthusiast at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The LG G6 beat other premium brands to the punch, in terms of unveiling their flagship device first. So it is safe to say that the device has all the attention it could ever require. Details on the G6 has already been known before now, thanks to a barrage of leaks that permeated the internet days before the actual unveiling. What was left unknown was partially its appearance and its feel in-hand. The G6 comes well-crafted with metal and glass , it measures 9 x 71.9 x 7.9mm sporting a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen enforced with Gorilla glass. On the inside, LG G6 packs technology that we are all too familiar with, which is a little bit disappointing. Considering the fact that some other manufacturers are impressively raising the ante in terms of the nature of specs that can be integrated in a smartphone. That said, the G6 comes with a SnapDragon 821 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM and a 32GB/64GB internal storage that is expandable up to 2TB. The device is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat covered with LG’s UX 6.0 out of the box.  The LG G6 charges wirelessly and the battery is non-removable. The inner compartment of the device are tightly sealed against dust and water up to the IP68 certification standard. Hence, the LG G6 comes water and dust resistant.

The cameras share a single dual led, dual toned flash. On the front, the device carries a 5MP front camera with 100 degrees, a 1.12µm pixel size, and f/2.4. Customarily, LG put a lot of focus on the Audio output of the G6. The South Korean company employed a Hi-Fi Quad DAC for the sound system of the device. However, it has been made clear that the US market will be receiving the variant that has no Hi-Fi Quad DAC feature. Even so, the sound system of the device is expected to be great enough to thrill audiophiles.
