LG Stylo 4 launched with 6.2-inch display, Android 8.1 Oreo


LG puts itself in the news again by launching a new smartphone in the US – the LG Stylo 4. The phone is the follow-up to the LG Stylo 3 Plus which was released in May of 2017.

The phone runs on Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset, 1.8GHz processor, coupled with a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 2TB through the microSD card slot. In front is a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display with FullVision 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. LG Stylo 4 screen

The LG Stylo 4 sports a 13MP camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash on the rear side, a 5MP selfie camera with a wide-angle lens at the front. The camera comes with Q lens integration capabilities for smartphone suggestions and information with Real Moment technology which according to LG allows you to write on images and send to other people.LG Stylo 4 camera

The phone also features a Stylus Pen (more or less a light pen) with Screen off Memo which allows you to write on the phone screen without turning it on and GIF Capture which allows you to convert video snippets into GIFs, and DTS:X Surround Sound technology.

Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, rear fingerprint sensor and face unlock for biometric security and a 3.5mm headphone jack. L

In terms of software, the LG Stylo 4 will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG UX skin, and powered by a 3,300mAh battery which brings the phone weight to 172 grams.

Last year’s Stylo 3 Plus was also released in the US with a 5.7-inch screen, Snapdragon 435 chipset, priced at $225 (N81,000).

The LG Stylo 4 was sold at an original price tag of $239 (N86,000) which was later reduced to $179 (N65,000). The phone is available on the official MetroPCS site.
