LG Vu 3 With Amazing Specs Finally Unveiled

LG Vu 3 With Amazing Specs Finally Unveiled

Considering LG’s G2was leaked many times before it became official to the world of smartphone users, we’re a little surprised that LG managed to keep the new LG Vu 3 under its covers just before today as not very many leaks were witnessed.

LG Vu 3 With Amazing Specs Finally Unveiled

The LG Vu3 grabs the legendary power and features of its predecessor, the LG G2 and shoves them right in your face…nah just joking but it really shoves all of it into an odd 5.2-inch form factor.

The Korean tech firm’s latest Android smartphone drops the Optimus tag of its predecessor, but keeps the Vu series’ signature 4:3 aspect ratio for its 5.2-inch IPS display (1,280 x 960 resolution).

LG claims that this gives the LG Vu 3 the same aspect ratio as the A4 paper, making it perfect for reading content such as ebooks and web pages. And to carry that bookish metaphor even further, the Vu 3 includes a rubber rhodium stylus too which has been absent for sometime from touch screens generally.

LG Vu 3 runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip. The LG Vu III device also sports a 13 megapixel rear camera to help capture ‘the moment’ and speakers that can deliver high-quality 24 bit/192 KHz audio which means you get more groove on with them.

In addition, the LG Vu 3 features Knock On or Knock Knock for quickly locking and unlocking the phone, a Guest Mode feature for letting others use the smartphone while keeping your own profile and settings safe, and Plug & Pop for automatically bringing up options when plugging or unplugging earphones.

Aside from the stylus, translucent QuickView cases (which comes with it) and a couple of LG software titles we recognize (like guest mode and KnockON), there’s not much else to glean from the Korean press release.

No pricing or availability date has been released, but the LG Vu 3 is expected to launch starting September 27 and well into the last quarter of the year.
