There have been various leaks on the Motorola Moto G6 series. The first leak was from e-commerce platform Amazon, then Chinese certification site TENAA took it a little further by releasing the phone specs. But last week, Hungarian retailer Alza gives us a detailed look at Motorola’s upcoming budget phones.
Lenovo-owned Motorola has already stated that it will launch the Moto G6 lineup next month, and recent leaks suggest that Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus may be part of the line-up.
Moto G6: Features and specifications
Moto G6 will feature a 5.7-inch FHD+ display (2160×1080 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 18: which is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 with Adreno 506 GPU. It has up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.
Moto G6 is set to have a dual rear camera system (12MP, 5MP) and a 16MP front camera. The phone supports GPS, NFC and LTE which runs on Android Oreo 8.0. Embedded below the display, in the home button, is a fingerprint sensor. All these are backed by a 3,000mAh battery with Turbo Charging technology.
Motorola Moto G6 is rumoured to come with features such as Face Unlock and Attentive display which remains turned on when the user is looking at it. Like Google Lens, the Moto G6 will allow users point the camera to any object to learn more about it.
Moto G6 Plus: Features and specifications
The Motorola G6 Plus will feature a bigger display of 5.93-inch with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. It will sport a dual rear camera system as Moto G6 (12MP+5MP) and a 16MP front camera with LED flash, a 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which will be expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot. It also has supports for Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, LTE and fingerprint reader, all which run on Android Oreo 8.0. It packs an Octa-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 630 processor which is powered by a 3,200mAh battery with TurboCharge.
Moto G6 Play: Features and specifications
Motorola Moto G6 Play is expected to feature a 5.7-inch IPS HD+ display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels along with a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430, a 2GB RAM, and 16 GB internal memory expandable up to 256GB, all which is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. Moto G6 Play will come with a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. It also supports GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and LTE, all on Android 8.0.
The Motorola Moto G6 series are expected to be launched on April 3.
