Motorola is promising Android KitKat for all Moto G users

 


Motorola is assuring all Moto G users Android KitKat by the end of January. Some won’t even have to wait for
an OTA update, though. According to the Motorola’s Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations, Mark
Randal, the Moto G’s staggered rollout provides the company a chance to tinker with the software version
handsets will run out of the box. Regions getting the G after Christmas will see the device ship with Google’s
latest mobile platform update, Android 4.4 KitKat.


The Moto G is an affordable handset that might be considered a budget version of the Moto X. Available
below $200 on contract, the phone features a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400
processor, and 1GB RAM.
