Lenovo unveiled its latest mid-rangers trio, the Motorola Moto G6 series — the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play — at an event in São Paulo, Brazil. While it has already been unveiled and launched in Brazil and Mexico, set they are to be launched next week, the Moto G6 series won’t be available until middle May or June.
The Moto G6 series will be running on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box, their fingerprint sensors are at the front below the 18:9 screens and no notches.
The Moto G6 sports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with 2,160 x 1,080 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio protected in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with 1.8GHz octa-core, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.
It is powered by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery with a 15W TurboPower charger. The Motorola Moto G6 also has water-resistant nano-coating.
The smartphone features a rear dual camera setup which includes a 12MP main camera with ƒ/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary shooter. An 8MP selfie camera can be spotted at the front. Both cameras are capable of shooting 1080p @ 60 fps.
Moto G6 Play
The Moto G6 Play has the same screen size as the Moto G6 but with 1,440 x 720 resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the front and rear side. It runs on a Snapdragon 430 chipset which is not much of a powerhouse, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage with microSD card slot and water resistant.
It will be powered by a much larger 4,000mAh which is the largest of the trio with 10W rapid charger capable of 36 hours worth of power in a single charge.
A 13MP shooter can be spotted at the back, being the least of the Moto G6 series. It sports an 8MP front camera.
Moto G6 Plus
Being the biggest of the Moto G6 series, the G6 Plus sports a 5.93-inch IPS LCD with 2,160 x 1,080 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio, covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. More of a powerhouse than the rest, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB, microSD slot up to 128GB and water resistant.
It is powered by a 3,200 mAh which is not as powerful as the one in Moto E5 Plus, but it comes with a 15W TurboPower charger.
It sports a primary 12MP sensor with ƒ/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5MP RGB camera. The dual-camera is can shoot 4K video and has dual-pixel autofocus. It has 8MP selfie front camera.
