Mozilla Begins Shipment of Firefox Os Smartphones in Africa

Mozilla is targeting Low-End smartphone users in Africa and has began Shipping its open-source Firefox OS Smartphone into the Continent. In a Blog post , Mozilla confirmed that the first Firefox OS smartphones (Orange Klif) went on sale in Senegal and Madagascar this week. Orange Klif is a dual-core, 3.5G smartphone that runs Firefox OS, version 2.0. It has a 3.5-inch display, a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, microSD card slot and a 1,300mAh battery.
Firefox smartphones are also available in South Africa and the company has plans to continue its international push in the coming months.
With Firefox OS, Mozilla isn’t aiming to compete with iOS and Android. Instead, it wants to hand out smartphones to those who have never used a smartphone of any kind before. Targeting a lesser-focused market like Africa, Firefox OS can become a big player if it keeps its plans well on track.
Quite good… I am yet to see or hear about such phones
