Nokia 5.1 Plus leak shows dual cameras and a notch

Over the past few months,  HMD Global has released a couple of mid-range smartphones into the Android market, including the Nokia 7 Plus, and still, the company is planning on unveiling yet another budget phone named Nokia 5.1 Plus.

OnLeaks leaked a few renders on the smartphone on its Twitter account which were based on factory CAD designs. A dual camera setup was spotted on the back of the phone with a design similar to a glass back.

“Another day, another leak… Here comes your very first look at the #NOKIA 5.1 Plus! 360° video + official looking 4K renders + dimensions (as usual, based upon factory CAD), on behalf of @tigermobiles -> https://t.co/lEJrA4mRlspic.twitter.com/vOlzMqoCYn”

Also spotted on the Nokia 5.1Plus is the prolific notch which might be due to the positive feedback they got from the China-exclusive Nokia X6. Therefore, there is a possibility that the phone will be released on a global scale. Apart from the X6-styled notch, the phone sports an X6-styled dual rear camera and fingerprint arrangement. The phone is also shown to feature a headphone jack. Excluding the notch, HMD Global seems to still be in line with its 2018 smartphones design.

Most of the specs have not be released or leaked yet, but we expect the Nokia 5.1 Plus to be an upgrade over Nokia 5 and take some features from Nokia X6. Rumour has it that the smartphone may feature a 5.7-inch display and MediaTek Helio P23 processor under the hood.

The RAM might be between 2GB/3GB of Nokia 5.1 and 4GB/6GB of Nokia X6, plus an internal memory between 16GB/32GB of 5.1 and 32GB/64GB of X6, which are both expandable.

If this rumour proves to be true, then we can expect an announcement to be made about it at IFA 2018 trade fair in August.

This rumour is coming one month after the company released X6 into the Chinese market
