Samsung has decided to end the rumours trailing its upcoming lineup, the A6 duo – Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+. The A6 series are known for their quality and affordability, and in the official specifications details released by Samsung, the “quality” aspect was spot on.
According to the post on Samsung’s Indonesian website, the duo will sport an 18.5:9 Super AMOLED Infinity display with slim bezels around the screen. The Galaxy A6 will feature a 5.6-inch HD+ screen with 1480 x 720 resolution, while Galaxy A6+ will sport a 1080 x 2220 resolution display with a 6-inch FHD+ screen. The Galaxy A6 is expected to be powered by a 3,000mAh battery and 3,500mAh unit for Galaxy A6+.
The major difference is in the camera department, where Galaxy A6+ features a dual rear camera setup (16MP/5MP) and a 24MP selfie camera with flash. The Galaxy A6 sports a single 16MP rear sensor and a 16MP selfie shooter, also with flash. Only the A6+ camera will feature Live Focus and Bokeh effect functionality, same as in the Samsung Galaxy S9+.
The duo will come with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable through the microSD slot, a rear positioned fingerprint sensor and a face recognition. Instead of the 3GB RAM for A6, Galaxy A6+ will have 4GB of RAM.There hasn’t been any information on the processors of both phones, except for the octa-core speed of 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz for Galaxy A6 and A6+ respectively.
Both phones are hinted to come with Bixby Home, Vision and Reminder, while the Bixby voice appears to be missing due to lack of dedicated Bixby button.
Pricing details for both Galaxy phones have not been made available yet. Even the release date is still shrouded in mystery, as the Indonesian site tagged both phones as “coming soon”. But with the way things are going, those informations are expected to be released or leaked very soon.
