From the information we gathered from the leaked images, previous Oppo flagships and the current trends in 2018, we have been able to put together what to expect from the Oppo Find X.
Oppo Find X specs
As guessed, the flagship phone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, which is in-line with the company’s tradition of using Qualcomm chipset in its high-ended smartphones.
It is not a surprise as the specs sheet shows the Find X will feature a 6GB of RAM, as some major 2018 flagship smartphones (for example, Xiaomi Mi 8) also feature the same RAM size and it’s fast becoming a trend. The 6GB of RAM is coupled with 128GB of internal storage, and we may also be seeing a 256GB model. All these will be powered by a 3,730 mAh battery.
As for the front panel, the specs sheet reveals a 6.4-inch 2,340 x 1,080 display with Samsung’s curved Super AMOLED screen.
Oppo Find X camera
Following the 2018 flagship trend, the phone will feature a rear dual-camera setup comprising of a 20MP with f/2.0 lens and a 16MP with f/2.0 aperture. The Find X camera will feature the 5x zoom capabilities announced at 2017 MWC.
For the front-facing camera, we have a 25MP sensor with f/2.0 lens. We expect the selfie camera to come with the 4x pixel binning which has been adopted by several OEMs for improved photography in low-light conditions.
Oppo Find X software
According to Playfuldroid, the smartphone will allegedly run on Android 8.1 Oreo which is most likely to be wrapped in Oppo’s ColorOS.
The ColorOS was recently upgraded with Xiaomi-style quick ball menu, screen recording, smart photo categorization and search, and gestures similar to Apple’s.
Oppo Find X price and release date
The smartphone is scheduled to be officially unveiled on Tuesday, June 19 in Paris. As for price, we are expecting something higher than Xiaomi Mi 8 price tag. Oppo has never be known for affordability when it comes to flagship-tier devices, but who knows, they might surprise us.
