Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J7 Duo, the latest smartphone of the mid-range J7 series. It will be available for sale as from April 12, at a price of INR 16,990 in India.
The Galaxy J7 Duo sports a 5.5″ Super AMOLED screen of HD resolution and a dual camera setup which means the phone supports Live Focus, that is the user can take a portrait styled picture with bokeh effect. The dual setup features a 13MP camera and 5MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.
It has an 8MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash also like the rear cameras. It comes with Face Unlock technology plus a fingerprint scanner as additional security. The Face Unlock in Samsung Galaxy S9 performed poorly in low lighting conditions, we hope this will be better even though it’s a midranger. It is able to capture Full HD resolution at 30 frames per second.
The Galaxy J7 Duo runs on Exynos 7 Series octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory which is expandable through the microSD card slot and optional dual SIM. The fingerprint sensor sits at the front on the power button as every other Samsung Galaxy smartphones and its powered by a 6,000mAah battery.
The Galaxy J7 Duo will be running on Android Oreo 8.0, the latest Android version. The phone comes in both black and gold. There is no mention of the Galaxy J7 Duo having a dedicated Bixby button which means Bixby might actually not be available.
