Samsung Galaxy S8 expected to make a grand entry come March 29 but before then Galaxy S8 will need to go Head-to-head with its biggest competitor, LG G6.
The much awaited Samsung galaxy S8 is rumoured to make its debut appearance on the 29th of March. While we await this official reveal date, here are some of its reliable specs we have been able to sniff out:
The Galaxy S8 is said to sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, which translates to 5.6-inch if counting the rounded corners. Equipped with Octa-core processor, it is expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip set, 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB built-in memory. It has a back fingerprint sensor, and is water and dust resistant.
There are rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with an artificially intelligent assistant named Bixby but we will just have to wait till the 29th of March to find out all there is to know about this phone.
Meet Samsung S8’s biggest competitor, LG G6
With so much in common, the LG G6 which was launched at the mobile world congress on 26th February, is LG’s best looking flagship yet. The 5.7 inch screen takes up roughly 80 percent of the phone leaving thin margins all around.
Rated as IP68, it is truly water-resistant. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip set. Compared to this, Samsung S8’s Snapdragon 835 is relatively smaller, and faster in recharging mobile batteries.
More so, LG G6 comes with a non-removable battery. Maxed at 3300mAh, it competes favourably with Samsung S8’s 3000mAh battery. It also has a storage expansion of up to 2TB.
