Although, Samsung used the phrase “major flagship models” in describing the Samsung devices receiving the security updates. Consequent upon this, it is safe to say that it is the majority of 2015 and probably earlier flagship models of Samsung devices, that will be receiving the new security updates.
This update will not be bringing any new feature besides increased security of your device. According to the announcement, “Samsung Mobile is releasing a maintenance release for major flagship models as part of monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) process”. “This SMR package includes patches from Google and Samsung”.
