It wasn’t long ago when Sony Xperia XZ2 was released, and now we hearing rumours of another Xperia phone already in the pipeline. This addition to the Xperia line-up is the successor of XZ2, the Sony Xperia XZ3. Which make sense and fits perfectly with Sony’s 6-month release cycle.
The smartphone was caught on camera by Sumahoinfo and the images were leaked, revealing some features and alleged specs of the phone, including the design.
The images show the alleged Sony Xperia XZ3 sporting a tall display with 18:9 aspect ratio and large bezels, especially at the upper part of the front panel. The lower part wasn’t photographed, so we don’t know if it features dual speakers or not. But based on XZ2 we can assume that the earpiece will double as a speaker.
The phone’s rear side is no different from the Xperia XZ2. It also has the same curved back design as XZ2.
The major highlight of the leaked images is the dual rear camera setup. It shows that Sony does not want to be left behind in this camera revolution, and we can’t wait to see the quality of images this feature will churn out. This backs up the claim that the upcoming flagship will feature similar dual camera system as Xperia XZ2 Premium.
According to rumours that went round in previous months, the phone will come with larger memory storage and a bigger battery than its predecessor.
If these alleged images prove to be true, then we should not be expecting much from the upcoming phone, as it looks like an exact replica of Xperia XZ2 in terms of design and the rear fingerprint sensor, except for the dual-camera which is the only new addition. Maybe it’s going to come with some groundbreaking features we don’t know about. But then again, these are just alleged pictures, they might not even be the real Sony Xperia XZ3.
More rumours are sure to surface in the coming weeks if the phone is truly undergoing production.
