Study finds that Samsung smartphones crash more often than other phones

A study conducted by Blancco, an international data security company, shows interesting statistics about the crash potential of Android and iOS devices. The experts decided to check which Android and iOS devices most often fail. Their researched focused on the performances of the subject in the first quarter of this year. The leaders in terms of the number of failures were Samsung smartphones – 27.4%. During the same period of time, the iPhone 6 had 22% of the breakdowns, and it was this model that became the leader for failures in the iOS camp, pushing the iPhone 6s to the second line with a 16% result.
The highest percentage of failures among Chinese smartphones comes from Xiaomi devices – 14%. The third in the world of Android was Motorola (9.6%) and followed by Huawei (8.4). In the top 10 troubled Android-devices on the last line were mobile phones OnePlus with 2.5%.
Its anti-rating Blancco was based on data obtained from cellular operators and retailers in “erasure testing.” In the ranking of devices with the highest number of failures, 74.3% of devices running iOS 11 took part, and 52% of mobile phones operated on the Android Nougat operating system.
