Smartphones cannot only be sleek, elegant and futuristic, Xiaomi has added a new design adjective, “cute”. At least that’s what we get from the Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition.Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition

This limited edition of the Mi 6X is a product of another collaboration between Vocaloid (creators of the voice of the anime J-popstar, Hatsune Miku) and the phone maker themselves, Xiaomi.

The Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition features the regular Xiaomi Mi 6X specs, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. It sports a tall 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, dual rear camera setup of 12 MP + 20 MP sensors with AI capabilities and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back.

As for the design, the special edition has a turquoise colour with an engraved image of the J-popstar, Hatsune Miku can be spotted on the back. The Hatsune Miku-themed design doesn’t end at that, the phone also comes in a Miku customized box which contains a Miku-themed turquoise 10,000 mAh power bank, phone case and a gift card.Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition

The Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition will run on MIUI 9.5 out of the box with exclusive Miku-inspired UI themes. The entire package is literally a Miku fan dream come true. The only hiccups are this edition is limited, so Xiaomi is only producing 5,000 units.

As you know, a special edition translates to a special price. The Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition is priced at CNY2,099 (~N115,000), including the phone case and gift card. Xiaomi already listed the phone for pre-order an sales will begin by July 10.

The first Hatsune Miku-themed phone that Xiaomi released was back in 2017, a special edition of the Redmi Note 4X.
