Expectations are high from the Samsung Galaxy S5, after successful launches by rival companies. The revolutionary features on the smartphones currently in the market, like Sony’s water resistance and Apple’s fingerprint scanner, have set a high bench mark.
Samsung will need to bring it’s A game to the table, in order to compete with such features, according to analysts.

Top 5 features to expect from Samsung Galaxy S5
Going Gold: Samsung recently unveiled two new gold variants on its current flagship smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S4. The variants were made available in U.A.E, Kuwait and Qatar. Gold colour offerings have become a hit in 2013, particularly with the iPhone 5S.
Fans expect the new Gold Pink and Gold Brown colour offerings be made available in the Samsung Galaxy S5, right from the release date. Samsung is also seen as being keen on stylish accessories, which should be made available with the device.

Tizen Variant: Rumours of a Tizen variant from the company refuses to die; new rumours have emerged suggesting that Samsung may drop Android for a Tizen operating system. Analysts feel that Samsung may not drop Android all together and a Tizen variant may be more likely used.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to come with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. Tizen is the proprietary operating system from Samsung, but the main drawback of the device is lack of adequate number of apps compared to Android.

Galaxy F Series: Samsung may finally be going for a metal body; rumours suggest that the company is all set to unveil a new smartphone with an aluminium body. This may not be on the Samsung Galaxy S5, as previously speculated.

4 GB RAM: The recently launched Note 3 from Samsung features a 3 GB RAM, the company has reportedly dropped the idea of a 64 bit architecture. So, what hardware upgrades can fans expect?
A 4GB RAM may not be as far fetched as previously imagined, there are already reports of other manufacturers in the market working on such a feature. Given the expertise of the company, analysts feel it is not asking for too much from the Samsung Galaxy S5.
