Twitter adds video sharing to the growing list of Twitter features

News on Twitter have being consistently making headlines, from the resignation of four CEO’s to increasing character limit, adding Video streaming , adding a dedicated GIF button and now its video sharing via direct messages. It is obvious that the company has a lot planned for 2016, and they are wasting no time in putting this plan into action, as the micro-blogging service looks to keep its users engaged and ultimately attract new users.

As of today, Twitter has rolled out a new feature for Android, iOS and the Twitter website, this new feature will allow users to send/share videos through direct messaging. The video to be shared can be recorded through the direct messaging part of the Twitter app or taken from storage. Twitter’s website does not support video recording function; it is only applicable using Twitter app on Android or iOS. This new update is expected to arrive in the coming weeks on both Android and iOS.

Twitter’s 300 million monthly active users may pale in size compared to Facebook, Instagram, and other social sites with over a billion monthly active users, but this recent flurry of interesting updates is sure to get them more users that will hopefully make the micro-blogging service a major contender in the social media sphere.
