Infinix S2, the wefie master, was launched today at a colourful event held in Lagos (Our very own Runtown was in attendance). If you recall we made a post on Infinix’s upcoming device dubbed the “wefie master” for its supposedly great front camera. Well, our predictions and expectations on the devices specs did not fall short. But before anything, you will be pleased to know that the Infinix S2 comes in two variants, the Infinix S2 and Infinix S2 Pro. Obviously, the Pro is the big brother or superior variant of the two. Even so, both devices sport similar specs save for some key areas in which the Pro comes out tops.

Expectedly, when you want to read about the specifications of a phone that is branded as the “wefie master” you would want to see the camera specs first. Well, that is where we will start. Infinix boldly states that the Infinix S2 and S2 Pro are “Africa’s first dual front camera smartphone”. Both devices sport a dual front camera, an 8MP and 13MP sensors matched with a LED flash.

On the back, both devices sport a 13MP camera with a 135-degree wide angle capturing capability. The camera also has a LED flash. On the software side, the S2 and S2 Pro comes with a group beautification feature. Androidnigeria will put the S2’s camera to a gruelling test and give you our verdict. We have a unit in hand, which our staffers will try out and give their impressions.
The S2 and S2 Pro come with a metal frame carrying a 5.2 inches screen with HD resolution covered by a 2.5D glass . Under the hood, you will find an expandable  32GB internal memory and 3GB/2GB RAM depending on the variant you purchase. Both devices are run by a 64 Bit Octa-core processor that clocks at 1.3GHz.

For power, Infinix S2 and S2 Pro is equipped with a 3,000mAh battery that has fast charge feature. Therefore, you are sure of getting good battery juice in a short time. Furthermore, the battery size is expected to serve for a whole day. We will let you know if this is possible in our review. Both devices will run Android Marshmallow skinned with Infinix’s XOS UI (XOS 2.2 ). For personalised security, both devices are equipped with a fingerprint scanner. S2 and S2 Pro come with a slew of connectivity features including, WiFi, Hotspot, Bluetooth. Expectedly, both devices has dual SIM support. On a more thankful note, they support 4G network (cool, right?). You can get Infinix S2 and Infinix S2 Pro in Black, blue, sunset pink, and Champagne Gold.
