WhatsApp live location

The WhatsApp live location sharing feature can be accessed the same way other instant messaging Apps are used like Snapchat and Facebook messenger, the way it will work is that you activate the live location and you can also time it for the duration you want , we are looking at between eight minutes and three hours (8mins – 3hours) .

There is option of turning it off and not sharing for privacy sake, nonetheless sharing live location will not come without its downsides especially as it regards a high level of trust in relationships. The bright side is it can help monitor activities at the home front and even at school to ensure the family is safe and sound at home and also for the elderly its a welcome development.

Other instant messaging Apps that have the features have been maximising it for personal and official uses, and for the fact that WhatsApp is more cross functional across various sectors and platforms we are hoping it won’t be abused and there will be adequate security and privacy policy in place for the new feature.
