Will Samsung S5 Be Released With Curved Display?
The rumours of the likelyhood that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be with a curved Display was on the high side…well… until now…
The Korean giants might have had a change in thought and decided to go with the normal screen display patent citing production capabilities.
Since Samsung dished out the Galaxy Round, which was highly accepted by smartphone users, individuals will only think that henceforth, Samsung will only release their high end devices with Curved displays and flexible screens.
But such might not be the case. This is mostly because Samsung is currently not yet capable of producing large volumes of such curved screens.
Watching Samsung’s production statistics closely, Samsung’s current manufacturing lines are said to be only producing 8,000 5.5-Gen sheets a month that translates to around 500,000 flexible 5-inch panels at a yield of 30 percent.
Samsung will be needing more than the above even though they have boasted that their Galaxy S4 has reached the 10 million sales milestone.
Samsung will be investing on a new line that will increase output to 1 million panels per month, but that is unlikely to happen in time for the Galaxy S5.
