Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 4, a sleek device with matching specs and mouth watering price


Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, yesterday launched the Redmi Note 4 in China. The Redmi Note series is a line of devices that are borderline phablets with mid-end specifications and a low-end price, at least for those who purchase the device in Dollars.

That said; let us take a look at the specifications of the device, shall we? The Redmi Note 4 comes metal-clad, carrying a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p resolution) screen on its front. Inside the Redmi Note 4, a MediaTek Helio X20, Deca-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz can be found. The Redmi Note 4 comes in two memory variants, 2GB/16GB and 2GB/64GB (RAM/Internal memory).

For pictures and videos, Redmi Note 4 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. A 4,100mAh battery powers the device and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow layered with Xiaomi’s in-house MIUI 8.

This latest Redmi will be coming in silver, gold and dark gray colour options. The device also sports a finger scanner, which is placed below the rear camera.

As for availability and pricing, the Redmi Note 4 will be available starting from today, in China only. The device will at $135 (well over 40k) for the 2GB/16GB variant and $180 (well over 60k) for the 3GB/64GB variant. When the device will be available to other regions is still unknown, rest assured we will bring any news on this to you.
