Xiaomi Mi 5 to debut in February


Xiaomi’s much anticipated Mi 5 now has an official release date, which is 24th of February, the event for the phones release will be held in Beijing. This was made through the company’s official social media accounts, also there was a photo attached to the announcement. The photo boldly displays the number 5,  with an inscription beneath the number that reads ‘All you ever imagined, and more’.


The Mi 5 slogan, certainly heightens expectations, we look forward to see how Xiaomi will impress its consumers. Although Xiaomi’s Mi 5 will be launched at a time when the Mobile World Congress will be underway, which seems a bit off.

That being said, let’s take a look at Mi 5’s leaked specs, perhaps you  haven’t read about it before now, Lets all get excited together. The latest report that arrived states that Xiaomi Mi 5 will debut in four variants, two all-metal ones, and two which will sport metallic frame, and two pieces of glass on its front and back side. The Mi 5’s with an all metal body will be available in both 3 and 4GB of RAM variants, while the Mi 5’s with  glass and metal will sport 4GB of RAM and either 32 or 64GB of internal storage. Mi 5 is said to generally feature a 16-megapixel camera on the back, and a 3,600mAh battery. The devices will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed and Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS will come installed on top of the Android OS. Furthermore, the Mi 5 is said to sport a physical home button. If the leaks prove true, then we will be seeing a really good phone come February 24th.

Xiaomi has taken the phone world by storm, providing low-end (Redmi 3), middle-end and High-end smartphones that are well worth it. 2016 will see the Chinese company pushing their market boundary, to get their product to more consumers.

  1. MI 5 impressed its consumers after its release on 24th February. There is no enough time to say so much about it because I am have so much to say.

    Anyway, the 4GB RAM variant of thisthis phone is Superb.
