Yahoo mail Android app add cool features in new update


Yahoo mail may not be as popular as it used to be back then, but it still has a decent amount of users. The email service provider has shown its resolve to keep its current customers and even gain more, by making its application more user friendly.

The latest update of the Yahoo mail Android app, adds a number of cool features to the app. The features are aimed at increasing ease of use for users of the Android app.  In this new version, you can now customize what the swipe function can do. Swiping left or right can be set to automatically star emails, mark emails as read, archive an email, delete an email, move an email to other inboxes. However, you are only allowed two customization options.

The swipe function is set in a default mode, in which  swiping left deletes a message and swiping right marks a message read or unread. This can be changed by going to setting withing the app, then swipe actions.

Furthermore, the option of starring an email or marking an email as spam has been added to the multi-select toolbar. To multi-select emails, you have long-press an email, then tick the check box that pops up on its side.

Meanwhile, Yahoo mail’s product manager Ilana Walder-Biesanz, in a post announcing the new version of the Yahoo app, said;

One of Yahoo’s New Year’s resolutions is to be more organized. The latest Yahoo Mail app update for Android empowers you to get more done, quickly, just the way you want.

The new version of the application is currently available on Play Store and should be accessible to all users. To download the updated version of the Yahoo mail Android app, visit Play Store search for “Yahoo mail”, the app should come up, click on it a notification will appear on the page, asking you to update the application, that’s if you have it installed already or you download the app.

  1. I’m unable to login to my yahoo mail account for over a year now and I don’t want to open another one.
